Quintet steam at Threlkeld museum’s August gala

THRELKELD Quarry and Mining Museum’s July 27-28 Annual Steam Gala featured four guest steam locomotives. 

Bagnall 0-4-0ST Kidbrooke (2043/1917) from Yaxham Light Railway and Statfold Barn Railway trio Peckett 0-6-0ST Liassic (1632/1923), Kerr, Stuart ‘Wren’ 3128/1918 Roger and Hunslet 0-4-0ST Jack Lane (3904/2005) joined Threlkeld resident Bagnall 0-4-0ST Sir Tom for the event.

Bagnall 0-4-0ST Sir Tom with a track-laying train and Priestman Cub crane at the railhead of the extension to Threlkeld’s line on July 26. There are superb views from the new stretch of line. ROBERT FALCONER
