Climate protestors pulled from tube train roof by angry commuters

ANGRY rush hour passengers have pulled Extinction Rebellion protestors from the roof of a London Underground Jubilee Line train this morning. The protestors had climbed on to the roof of the train at Canning Town, where the line is at surface level. Other incidents were reported at Stratford and Shadwell, and some demonstrators had glued themselves to trains. Services on the Jubilee Line and the Docklands Light Railway were disrupted for a while, but have now returned to normal. British Transport Police said four of the demonstrators were arrested. BTP said: ‘We continue to urge protesters to not target the London Underground network. This is dangerous, not only for protesters but for commuters. We have increased our patrols on the London Underground and at other rail hubs throughout London.’
