Welsh Marches Line still blocked after train-tractor collision




The
Marches
Line



is
still
blocked
today
after
a
collision
between
a
train
and
a
tractor
trailer
on
a
user-worked
farm
crossing
in
Herefordshire.



A
32-year
old
man
was
arrested
on
suspicion
of
endangering
the
safety
of
railway
passengers
following
the
crash
near
Leominster
on
Thursday
morning.



Two
people
on
the
Transport
for
Wales
train
who
received
minor
injuries
were
taken
to
hospital,
but
the
tractor
driver
was
unhurt
and
the
train
was
not
derailed.
Rail
Accident
Investigation
Branch
inspectors
have
been
gathering
evidence
at
the
crash
site.



The
line
between
Hereford
and
Shrewsbury
is
expected
to
remain
closed
this
morning.
