SHEFFIELD tram services are being boosted in frequency from this coming weekend, making Stagecoach Supertram the latest public transport system to start returning its timetables to pre-Covid levels. Trams on the yellow and blue routes will run every 15 minutes on weekdays from 15 June, and there will be two tram trains an hour between Sheffield Cathedral and Rotherham Parkgate. Supertram managing director Tim Bilby said: ‘We are pleased to be increasing our timetable, offering significantly more frequent services as people start to return to work and retail facilities start to re-open. Whilst social distancing remains there will be less capacity on each tram so we would urge people to plan their journey to avoid busier times and allow more time for journeys.’
