THE five Class 802 bi-mode trains that will begin work with Hull Trains (HT) are to be called the ‘Paragon’ fleet. HT says it has significance in Hull from when Paragon station first opened in 1848, with the dictionary definition defining paragon as ‘a model of excellence’.
In addition to the fleet name, HT has asked its customers to help name each of the five sets, but indicating the names should reflect the significant investment and celebrate Hull’s culture, and everything that is good about Hull.

The company says the trains will be officially named before they enter service later in the year.
The five sets – Nos. 802301-5 – are being built at Pistoia, Italy.
