More trains on Victoria Line
LONDON Underground has lengthened the hours of peak time services on the Victoria Line. Trains are now running every 1m40s for three hours rather than one and a half hours in the morning and evening rush hours. Transport for London said the more intensive services would increase capacity by 5 per cent. However, there have been protests at a reduction of frequencies by two trains an hour on the outer eastern branches of the Central Line. The trains in the Central Line fleet are being withdrawn progressively for modernisation.
